Note: The Massie Heritage Center. Listed on the National
Register of Historic Places, this Greek Revival structure is the
only remaining original building from Georgia's oldest chartered
school system and is honored as Georgia's oldest school in continuous
operation. Completed in 1854, the structure stands today as an enrichment
program to enhance student's understanding of Savannah's historical
past. Admission is $3 for self-guided tours/$5 for docent led visits
and open to the public from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM Monday through Friday. |
