Note: The Hamilton Turner Inn is housed in a almost over-the-top
restored Second Empire chateau built in 1870 by the former mayor
of Savannah. The home, which is located on Lafayette Square was
the first house in the city to get electricity. It has several unique
features including a nansard roof and cast-iron balconies. Currently
it offers 14 separate bedroom suites adorned in antiques for guest's
and has fantastic onsite dining facilities. It's location in the
heart of the historic district makes it a tourist favorite. Suites
generally run in the $150-$200 range. |
